Uganda has retained the top spot in the Council of East and Central Africa Football Association (CECAFA) zone in the latest FIFA rankings. In the ranking, Uganda is 92nd with 124.15 points, 19th in Africa. Argentina remains at the top with 1,858 points, while Africa's highest-ranked team Morocco slipped one place to 13th with 1,661.42 points. Uganda was neither promoted nor relegated after the national team lost 4-0 to Comoros and drew 2-2 against Ghana in international friendlies played in Marrakech, Morocco last month. Kenya is second in the CECAFA zone, while the FIFA rankings have climbed four places to 107th with 1,191.24 points. Kenya improved its ranking after defeating Malawi and Zimbabwe in the four-nation tournament held in Malawi last month. Tanzania and Sudan are ranked third and fourth respectively in the CECAFA zone and remain stable at 119th and 127th respectively in the FIFA rankings. The CECAFA zone has 12 members, including Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Sudan, Rwanda, Burundi, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Djibouti, Somalia, Eritrea and CAF associate member Zanzibar.
