Former US President Donald Trump refused to support the issue of a national ban on abortion, saying that the decision should be left to the states. Trump released a video on Monday clarifying his stance of not supporting a national ban on abortion. "Many people have asked me what my stance is on abortion and abortion rights," Trump said in a video posted on his 'Truth Social' website. I believe everyone wants abortion from a legal standpoint, states will figure it out through vote or law or possibly both. He did not tell in the video how many weeks of pregnancy he is in favor of banning abortion. He declined to support a national ban on abortion. In the video, Trump once again took credit for the Supreme Court's decision to overturn the 'Roe vs. Wade' decision. He said he was proud to be the person responsible for eliminating the constitutional right to have an abortion. However, he supported abortion with three exceptions – rape, incest and when the mother's life was in danger.
