Congress on Friday released a 48-page manifesto for the Lok Sabha elections. The manifesto was jointly released by Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge, Manifesto Committee Chairman P Chidambaram, Rajya Sabha member Sonia Gandhi, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Organization General Secretary KC Venugopal and party treasurer Ajay Maken at the Congress headquarters. Releasing the manifesto, Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge said that this manifesto, prepared after extensive public participation, will be remembered as a document of justice in the political history of the country. In this ambitious manifesto of the Congress Party, 5 justice and 25 guarantees have been announced. In a press conference here, Mallikarjun Kharge described the Congress manifesto as a letter of justice and said that this 'letter of justice' is a clear road map for building a powerful future of India. It is a collection of sensitive and progressive guarantees and schemes for the poor, farmers, labourers, youth, women and the underprivileged. He also said that we have kept every promise and will also keep all the promises given in the Nyaya Patra. This manifesto of Congress focuses on youth, women, laborers and farmers and promises benefits of various schemes. In this, the youth will be given jobs after completing the apprenticeship. Poor women will be given annual assistance of Rs 1 lakh. In the manifesto of Congress, free treatment up to Rs 25 lakh has been promised to the people across the country. The elderly have been promised concessions in the Railways. Which was closed during the Corona period. Congress has opposed one country and one election in this manifesto. It has been promised that after the formation of the coalition government, the method of voting will be changed. Although voting will be done through EVM, the slip from VVPAT machine can be kept and deposited separately. The slip from the voting machine EVM will be matched with the VVPAT. Congress has said in the manifesto that it will conduct a nationwide economic-social caste census. Through this, Congress will find out the castes, sub-castes and their economic-social status. Congress will implement the 10 percent reservation for economically weaker sections in education and jobs for people of all castes and communities without any discrimination. The Congress Party will remove the 50 percent cap on reservation for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes and poor general classes. Congress will fill all the vacant posts reserved for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes within a year. The central government's contribution to pension for senior citizens, widows and the disabled is only Rs 200-500 per month. Congress will increase this amount of pension to a minimum of Rs 1,000 per month. Congress will reserve half (50 percent) of central government jobs for women from 2025. Congress will ensure that more women are appointed to senior positions such as judges, secretaries to the government, high-ranking police officers, law officers and board directors. Congress will give legal guarantee to the minimum support price announced by the government as per the recommendation of the Swaminathan Commission. Agricultural Costs and Prices Commission will be made a statutory body. Congress has also promised to restore freedom of speech and expression, including full freedom of the media, decriminalize the crime of defamation and provide prompt remedies by law, including civil damages, and end arbitrary and indiscriminate suspension of Congressional orders. Congress' Nyay Patra states that if the Congress government comes to power at the Centre, then 30 lakh vacant posts will be recruited. Caste census will be conducted, law will be made on MSP. MNREGA wages will be given at Rs 400. In this judicial letter, Congress has announced to stop misuse of investigating agencies and changes in PMLA law. It has also been said that the recommendations of the Sachar Committee will be implemented.
