The Indian Medical Association (IMA) Ludhiana, in a significant academic collaboration with the Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Center, Delhi, successfully conducted a Continuing Medical Education (CME) program on recent advancements in Breast Cancer Management and Childhood Malignancies on 7Nov 2025. The well-attended event aimed to keep local doctors updated on cutting-edge oncology practices. The CME was graced by Dr. Aparajita Sophia D#39Souza, MS, from ESI Hospital, who served as the Chief Guest. Dr. Manoj Sobti, Patron IMA, acted as the PMC observer for the day. He warmly welcomed the Chief Guest and commended IMA Ludhiana for their dedication to organizing such high-value academic and educational events. Dr. Pankaj Goyal delivered a highly informative session on the Recent Advances in Breast Cancer Management. Dr. Sandeep Jain spoke on Childhood Malignancies, emphasizing the critical importance of early diagnosis and management. He stressed the need for a high index of suspicion among practitioners to ensure timely detection and improved prognosis for young patients. Dr. Dheeraj Aggarwal, President IMA Ludhiana, formally welcomed all the attendees and the Chief Guest. Dr. Ruchi Mutneja, Secretary IMA Ludhiana, motivated all the doctors to regularly attend such CMEs to stay abreast as medicine is the ever-evolving field. The event saw the participation of approximately 100 doctors from IMA Ludhiana, reinforcing the local medical community#39s commitment to continuous learning and enhanced patient care. The overall program was deemed a great success in providing current, practical, and life-saving knowledge to the participants. IMA Ludhiana continues its mission to promote medical education and scientific temper within the region.
