Green Land Senior Secondary Public School organized an informative and engaging interactive session on Disaster Management for the students of Classes III to IX amp XI. The session aimed at spreading awareness about safety measures and preparedness during natural and man-made disasters. The resource person for the day, Mr. Pir Khurshid Ahmad, shared valuable insights on disaster preparedness, first aid measures, evacuation techniques and the importance of staying calm during emergencies. Through real-life examples and practical demonstrations, he helped students understand how awareness and timely action can save lives. The session was highly interactive as students enthusiastically raised numerous questions and clarified their doubts. It turned out to be a healthy and enriching discussion where young learners actively participated and gained practical knowledge. To make the learning experience more effective, a mock drill was also conducted for all students from Classes III to IX amp XI. The drill familiarized them with emergency response procedures and evacuation protocols, ensuring that they are better prepared to handle unforeseen situations. Dr.Rajesh Rudhra ,the Chairman of the Chain of Green Land Schools expressed that disaster management education is not just an activity but a necessity in todayrsquos world. He emphasized that equipping students with safety knowledge at an early age builds responsible and alert citizens. He encouraged students to remain vigilant and prepared at all times. The Principal Mrs.Baldeep Pandher stated that such practical sessions play a vital role in holistic education. She highlighted that awareness, presence of mind and discipline during emergencies can prevent major losses.
