Green Land Senior Secondary Public School solemnly observed World Cancer Day with the aim of spreading awareness and promoting a healthy lifestyle among the students. On this occasion, a special morning assembly was organised for the students of Classes IV to VIII, where the importance of early detection, healthy habits and emotional support for cancer patients was highlighted. During the assembly, students shared informative thoughts, slogans and short speeches, sensitising their peers about the causes of cancer and the significance of prevention through a balanced diet, regular exercise and avoidance of harmful habits. In addition to the assembly, classroom-based activity was organised for the students of Classes IV to VII , where students expressed their understanding and concern about cancer awareness in a creative and thoughtful manner. Dr Rajesh Rudhra ,the Chairman of the School said,ldquoWorld Cancer Day reminds us that awareness and prevention are the strongest tools in the fight against cancer. By educating our children today, we are nurturing a generation that is informed, compassionate, and committed to leading a healthy life.rdquo The Principal Mrs Baldeep Pandher remarked, ldquoSchools play a vital role in shaping not only academic excellence but also social responsibility. Through such awareness programmes, we aim to instil empathy, discipline, and healthy living habits among our students.rdquo
