Green Land Senior Secondary Public School celebrated the auspicious festival of Basant Panchami with great devotion, cultural elegance and vibrant enthusiasm on 23 January 2026. The school campus resonated with positivity and festive spirit as students from Pre-Nursery to Class III arrived beautifully dressed in yellow attire, symbolising wisdom, prosperity and the joyous arrival of the spring season. The celebration commenced with a special Saraswati Puja, solemnly performed by the Principal Mrs Baldeep Pandher, teachers and students, invoking the divine blessings of Goddess Saraswati, the epitome of knowledge and learning. The serene and spiritual ambience created during the puja instilled a sense of reverence and cultural awareness among the students. To make the celebration joyful and educational, a series of thoughtfully planned activities were organised for different classes. The tiny tots of Pre-Nursery enjoyed a cheerful play-time session during colourful tri-colour craft activity . Students of Nursery to UKG enthusiastically participated in a yellow flower paper craft activity, where they explored colours, shapes and textures while associating the yellow colour with Basant Panchami. The young learners of Grades I and II showcased their creativity through a kite craft activity, symbolising freedom, joy and the festive spirit of spring. Meanwhile, the students of Grades III, IV and V engaged in a reflective writing activity titled ldquoMy Favourite Season ndash Springrdquo, where they expressed their thoughts and emotions through words, highlighting the beauty, freshness and positivity of the spring season. Dr Rajesh Rudhra ,the Chairman of the Chain of Green land Schools expressed that celebrating traditional festivals like Basant Panchami plays a crucial role in nurturing cultural roots, moral values and spiritual growth among students. He appreciated the efforts of the school team in creating a learning environment where heritage and education go hand in hand. The Principal Mrs Baldeep Pandher shared that such celebrations enrich the educational journey by promoting creativity, confidence and cultural awareness. She appreciated the enthusiastic participation of students and the dedicated efforts of teachers in making the Basant Panchami celebration a memorable and enriching experience.
