Ludhiana Mayor , Principal Inderjeet Kaur, inaugurated the RideIndia Expo on Friday at the Ludhiana Exhibition Centre in Sahnewal, marking a significant milestone for India’s bicycle industry. The three-day event, which runs till February 8, 2026, serves as a premier showcase for the latest advancements in bicycle technology and sustainable mobility.

More than 7,500 visitors filled the exhibition halls on the first day, creating a vibrant atmosphere as dealers, distributors, and enthusiasts explored new designs. Leading bicycle and component brands unveiled their latest models, focusing on high-performance parts and innovative urban transport solutions.

During her address, Mayor Inderjeet Kaur praised the expo as a reflection of the city’s industrial strength and entrepreneurial spirit. She emphasized that Ludhiana continues to play a vital role in shaping the national bicycle market by promoting technology and eco-friendly transportation.

The ceremony drew a high-profile audience of industry stalwarts, including Padma Shri Onkar Singh Pahwa of Avon Cycles and  K.K. Seth of Neelam Cycles. Representatives from major trade bodies like the United Cycle & Parts Manufacturers Association (UCPMA) and the Federation of Industrial & Commercial Organization (FICO) also attended to support the unified platform.

Dealers from across India reported high satisfaction with the variety and quality of products on display. Many attendees noted that the expo provides an essential venue for business networking and understanding the emerging trends that will define the future of cycling in the country.
